A Natrona County District judge Friday sentenced the getaway driver for a string of Casper convenience store robberies to 12 to 20 years in prison.

Skylor Eberhardt, 20, also broke into one Casper pawn shop and tried to rob another in the fall of 2007.

In June, he admitted to being the wheel man for three hold ups at convenience stores in Casper. He also admitted to breaking into Depend-A-Pawn shop in September 2007 and standing guard with a BB gun while two other men tried to rob United Pawn two months later.

He pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. In exchange, prosecutors dropped two other charges and agreed he would serve his punishment for all the crimes at the same time.

Police arrested Eberhardt and two other men a year ago in connection with an armed robbery in Laramie. Investigators later tied them to the Casper robberies.

The other men -- Aren Patrick Cobia and Kasey Miller -- pleaded guilty to various charges in connection with the robberies, and received sentences ranging from 10 to 20 years in prison.

Eberhardt and Miller broke into the Depend-A-Pawn and stole weapons. Then in October, they twice robbed a Kum 'N Go store and held up a Red Eagle store.

Cobia participated in the Red Eagle robbery and all three men tried to rob United Pawn in November 2007.

A pawn shop employee told police men wearing black ski masks and armed with handguns came into the store and ordered him to put his hands up against the wall. The men left when they heard the shop's owner had activated an alarm.
